With Halloween right around the corner, I love that Alison chose to do costumes as the theme! Halloween is such a great excuse to get dressed up into ridiculous get ups and go dance the night away. For the past few years my costumes have been more kid oriented but still super fun. I've been Fiona from Shrek, Toadette from Mario Brothers and Mrs. Potato head from Toy Story. This year I'm sex-ifying myself and going as a prom queen. For Friday Fancies I decided to take it a step further and go with an 80's prom queen. The options of Polyvore are endless and when else are you going to take advantage of the full lace dress and lace gloves??
How are you spending your "holiday" weekend??

I love the idea of dressing up as an 80's prom queen! That dress and those earrings are perfect! Side note, I'm super excited about the upcoming holidays too! It's taking every ounce of me not to bust out the Christmas decorations and go at it!
What a great idea to dress up as if you were going to an 80s prom! I love it!! I can just hear the music now!
What? I can't believe there is snow all over the country right now! It's in the mid 70s in LA and mid-80s in the suburbs. I want it to feel more like fall/Halloween!
This outfit is super cute! Great idea.

I'm kind of in love with the idea of an 80's prom themed costume. Such a fun idea!
Thanks for the comment today :) I hope you have a great Halloween weekend!
This is SO fun, I love it!! Especially the gloves, let's all bring gloves back!
This is a fun look! Ok saw you were an Upstate New Yorker- where are you from?
Cute outfit! I love dressing up in 80's gear--it was always my favorite party in college! Too bad I feel too old to get away with it now, unless it's Halloween of course:) Hope you have a great weekend!
PS I'm from MO my husband is stationed up here. NO idea where the H Valley is. Promise I'm not an idiot!!
those pink lips are fabulous!
One of the greatest disappointments in being an expat in Australia is that they do not observe halloween! No candy corn. No costumes. Le sigh!
Love the idea of an 80s prom queen! that dress is PERFECT.
So cute!! I'm always seeing people in 80s workout clothes but an 80s prom queen is so much more original! Love it!
the 80s = the best. this would be an incredible costume...and one that could easily be concocted with a quick run to Goodwill ;) SO happy to have you posting again for Friday's Fancies! Hope you have a lovely week, Julie! xoxo {av}
