she's about to pop

Well, Jess might have about 8 weeks to go but I think she's pretty ready to pop! We had a fabulous day celebrating Jess and Branson with our amazing friends and family. He is definitely one lucky baby to have such wonderful (and super generous!) people in his life! He got a ton of goodies yesterday! A stroller/car seat, a changing table, and a bunch of nursery gear and clothes. Without further ado, some pictures!
My front door, the first thing people were greeted with!

View into the living room. (ignore the box of junk on the chair - we were last minute wrapping!)

"when will Jessi pop?" station - a place to submit your guesses

View from the front door . Love the dogs photo bombing every picture!

Dining room before all the food was put out!

Oh the balloon project - I'll have to do a post about that. It was hard and tedious, but GORGEOUS

We had "pop"s EVERYwhere

a night out

Unfortunately, tonight isn't a date night for me. Instead, Mike is away and I'm home decorating for the mother of all baby showers tomorrow! My house has been transformed from a house to a blue/green/grey party mecca! It's gorgeous, I love all of the decorations! They're so fun. Tonight's project is tackling the balloon project in the living room. Pictures will definitely follow!

Alas, if tonight was a glamorous night on the town with the love of my life, this is the outfit I'd be wearing. That beautiful bling would be a bonus outcome if it were to arrive on my left hand at the end of the night...

new favorite

If you've hung out with me for any amount of time, you'd easily know that I am a bit obsessed with country music. There is a new(ish) song by Chris Young that makes me smile every single time I hear it. I think of Mike and it just makes me happy. If something makes me that happy, I think it's something that should be shared with you! I hope you enjoy it too -

I'm spending my morning waiting around for a furniture delivery. Two new dressers for me, and a daybed for the spare bedroom!

It's hump day! We're halfway through the week, which means we're getting super close to the baby shower! I've managed to squeak in a couple minutes of awesome pinterest browsing time, even with being so busy with baby shower things. These are the things I'm loving this week:

As always, linking up with Michelle over at The Vintage Apple!

These look delicious. I love the yellow and light blue presentation, gorgeous.

Beautiful flowers, a bit too big in my opinion for a centerpiece, but seriously gorgeous flower combo.

One of the most bright, airy, and gorgeous bathrooms ever. I love the built in storage.

Gorgeous table accent!

Oh my gosh, I want to eat all of those.

Hawaiian wine coolers. These look completely delicious!

I love the shadows, they're so pretty!

More fabulous cocktail recipes!

The most gorgeous front door set up ever. LOVE the lime green door.

skirts for spring

I live in skirts from April until October. Skirts and dresses are just so easy and comfortable when it's warm out. I love skirts because they are a bit more versatile than dresses. I like that I can pair them with a different shirt, cardigan or belt and it makes a totally different outfit. I've been on the hunt for some new additions to my spring/summer wardrobe and these are the three that I think I'll be adding this year. I already bought the Target set - I paid $15 for the whole outfit - you can't beat that!

puppy monday

This weekend was kind of a wash, but Thursday and Friday we managed to get the dogs out and about to wear them out before they'd be locked inside because of 50 mph winds.

Heading out - this gets the dogs so excited.

Out taking the pups for a walk

Cooper was trying to free Sheldon his leash, it was adorable.

Cooper snuggled up on Mike's pillow after he left for work.

Dog park! It was super windy, but those are the faces of two very happy dogs!!

Cooper went swimming! He LOVED it!

a gorgeous day at the park

I made tons of stuff for the baby shower this weekend

a "pop" for the front door!!

I love to cuddle these little men.

picnic worthy

This week has been fantastic. Other than trying to keep my leg's pain in check, I've spent it enjoying every minute of the gorgeous weather.

It seems fitting that this week's Friday Fancies theme is going on a picnic! I'm dying to go somewhere beautiful on a picnic. I'll have to come up with somewhere for Mike and me to go sometime soon.
picnic worthy

A perfect simple pink t shirt, plain and it goes with everything. A perfect basic.

Cute shorts are perfect for everyday wear during the spring and summer.

I am head over heels for these shoes. Wedges are perfect for picnics. Especially if you have to wander through grass or dirt to get to the perfect picnic location.

Love this flowered bag.

Even a picnic deserves a little bit of sparkle.

Loving this floppy hat to keep the sun out of my eyes while we spend the afternoon basking in the sun.

While this outfit is fabulous and a great part of a perfect picnic, I also need the perfect picnic basket. Since my ideal picnic spot is by a lake or a waterfall, I think it should be a picnic backpack. I found this one and I'm kind of in love with it...But $100 seems a bit crazy for a picnic...
