I got some awesomely fabulous news that turned into quite the bummer yesterday. I was invited to the local radio station on Friday morning to participate in their version of cupcake wars. Only to figure out that I can't get out of work and I can't go. I'm so bummed about it, but I think I'm sending my friend Kristyn who owns the bakery in Connecticut in my place. We'll see if it works out!
In the event I can figure it out, I was looking for some cupcake inspiration (I already know exactly what recipe I'll be using, but decorating inspiration and filling options are still open!) on pinterest. I'm sharing the million cupcakes that made my mouth water a little bit with you today!

baby shower love

Last baby shower post I promise! I just want to share the friend and family pictures from the shower too. Yesterday I shared all of the gorgeous details that we put together but today I want to share all the things that really made this shower what it was.
Like I said, we are incredibly lucky to have such amazing friends and family. Branson is the luckiest baby in the world.

she's about to pop

Well, Jess might have about 8 weeks to go but I think she's pretty ready to pop! We had a fabulous day celebrating Jess and Branson with our amazing friends and family. He is definitely one lucky baby to have such wonderful (and super generous!) people in his life! He got a ton of goodies yesterday! A stroller/car seat, a changing table, and a bunch of nursery gear and clothes. Without further ado, some pictures!

Unfortunately, tonight isn't a date night for me. Instead, Mike is away and I'm home decorating for the mother of all baby showers tomorrow! My house has been transformed from a house to a blue/green/grey party mecca! It's gorgeous, I love all of the decorations! They're so fun. Tonight's project is tackling the balloon project in the living room. Pictures will definitely follow!

Alas, if tonight was a glamorous night on the town with the love of my life, this is the outfit I'd be wearing. That beautiful bling would be a bonus outcome if it were to arrive on my left hand at the end of the night...

If you've hung out with me for any amount of time, you'd easily know that I am a bit obsessed with country music. There is a new(ish) song by Chris Young that makes me smile every single time I hear it. I think of Mike and it just makes me happy. If something makes me that happy, I think it's something that should be shared with you! I hope you enjoy it too -
