family pictures

When I was a kid my grandparents' living room was devoted to family pictures. They had a whole wall that we all called the cousin wall. In the center there was a framed family tree with each of our names and birthstones on it and then it was surrounded by each of our school pictures. All 20 of us grandchildren always looked forward to giving Grandma and Granddaddy our new school pictures. When my Grandfather moved I think dismantling that wall was the hardest part. I'm looking forward to the day when I have a wall of family portraits.

winnie the pooh

I have always loved the stories of winnie the pooh, not just the books but the tv show and movies too. I found this sign on pinterest and kind of fell in love with it and wanted to share. Can't wait to have my own house so I can decorate it with such cute things, it is especially perfect for a kids room. I would love to remind my children of this every single day.

bathrooms

Kind of odd fun fact about me is that I love to shower and get clean in general. There are very few things that beat that all fresh and clean feeling when you get out of the shower. I think that bathrooms can be one of the more difficult rooms in the house to decorate. Finding focal pieces are really hard so making the actual bathroom fixtures beautiful can help a ton.

Even though this is an outdoor shower I love the look and I think you
could do something similar in an indoor space.

Beautiful bathtub and mirror....and wall color.

picture perfect

When Mike and I talk about our dreams and our future home he is very clear that the one thing he wants is a man cave all his own. I have always been on board with him on that. He has a few guns that he keeps locked in a gun cabinet. I would feel most comfortable if that cabinet was also locked in a room our kids wouldn't have access to. I'd love to get him a print like this to hang in his man cave. It is just so him.

oh, I've got it bad...

If you ask my sister, babies are contagious. Be careful not to touch one, look at one too long, and especially don't daydream about tiny adorable baby things. I love baby things, especially the adorably pink gushy ones themselves! Daydreaming about my future children always makes me smile when I'm having a rough day.

entertaining

I love entertaining. I love having people over and giving them good food and drinks. I love sharing laughter and playing games with the people I love the most. Seriously there aren't many things that top that. Summer entertaining is on the absolute top of my list. Sitting outside in the shade, enjoying a cool summer breeze and noshing on some deliciousness. Here are my favorite entertaining items at the moment.
All items were found at Target! I love the seasonal lines they sell, they are always gorgeous, funky and inspirational!

bedrooms and playrooms

Dreaming about my future wedding is fun, I do it all the time. But it is just a party, a step to what I am really dreaming about is the life that comes after that. The house filled with little feet, sleepless nights holding a future child, days spent with family enjoying the great outdoors are really what I'm looking forward to. A part of that is my future home.

From bedrooms to playrooms to kitchens and bathrooms, I could stare at home decor images all day long. Luckily with pinterest, I can actually do that! That's where I stumbled across all of these images!

Roof decks

Loving the hammock! Found over at Barefoot Floor.
Now that the summer has unofficially started I find myself being reminiscent of my college years which I spent in Boston. I love it there and one of my favorite things about Boston is urban roof decks. In the middle of the summer there are few things better than getting dolled up and heading to one of the many rooftop bars in the city. There is just something almost magical about getting drinks, enjoying a cool summer breeze and hanging out under the stars with close friends. It makes me daydream about dinner parties under the stars with delicious food and even better drinks.

The low lighting is amazing. From Artani San Francisco.

Look at those floors! Holy moly. Love them. Found over at Captivatist.

Don't you just want to have brunch at that table? Found here.
Just looking at these pictures makes me want to sit under the stars and chat and drink all night with friends. Anyone interested?
